Hotel "HEM Hotel Amsterdam" (Amsterdam, Nederland)

The Hem annex rooms are, as the name suggests, located in an annex next to the main hotel building and the bedrooms in this part of the hotel are officially of a 2 star standard. They are smaller than the rooms in the main building and are more basic but are still in good condition, as are the bathrooms which are all with shower only. All the public facilities such as check in and restaurant and bar etc. are located in the main hotel building and all guests receive the same breakfast as those staying in the 3 star accommodation.; There is a very large restaurant which was renovated in 2007 and offers a more modern look. This is located on the ground floor and currently serves a large hot buffet breakfast only, although adjacent to this is a bar area offering drinks and a pool table. In the modernized hotel lobby there is a small cafe serving light snacks, and, weather permitting, guests can sit in the small garden at the front of the hotel; This is a modern building with no special features; however, it does have an attractive terrace at the front of the hotel’s entrance and meals and drinks may be served out here, weather permitting.; The lobby is large with ample seating and a lovely, welcoming terrace where, in the summer months, guests can have a bite to eat or a drink.
